Description

Our goal is to encourage local skiers to build community through plenty of opportunities to ski together, improve our fitness and technique, and spend healthy time outdoors year round. We welcome suggestions and hope to see you soon at the Nordic Center! For the 2023–24 season we plan to have two–three weekly times to get together both before and after work; and on weekends. As the season progresses we hope to plan four coaching clinics with our coaching staff as well as encourage attendance to a couple of New England races that will be both fun and a good fit for our group.

  • 4 Clinics (to be scheduled) with our coaching staff
  • Weekly group skis Wednesdays 7:00am–9:00am and Saturdays 10:00a–11:00am with Michael
  • For BKL program parents, Lindsey will be available for coaching at the stadium Tuesdays during practice
  • We will be encouraging attendance to at least a couple of masters-friendly Zak Cup or marathon series races
  • Weekly group trail runs and more during the off season

When Michael saw his son’s enthusiasm for the SHS Nordic Team in 2014, he decided to dive in too and hasn’t stopped! He started roller skiing the following spring and loves learning about all aspects of nordic technique and training. Michael lives in Lyndeborough in an old farmhouse with his wife Enid and outdoor pup Stella, and recently retired from his printing business Puritan Press in Hollis.
